Name of the Chemical : CALIUM PROPIONATE
Formula :C6H10O4Ca
Molecular Wt. : 186.22(Anhydrous)
Molecular Structure : (CH3CH2COO)2Ca·0-1H2O
Property : White light weight flake-shape crystal or powder with no smell or with slight foreign taste. Such compound with mono-crystal water is colorless monoclinic system’s flake-shape crystal. Easily soluble in wet air or water. Slightly soluble in ethanol and ether but nearly insoluble in acetone and benzene. It’s going to lose its crystal water at 120℃ during heating processing and further will be melting at 200~210℃. It will be decomposing at 300~340℃ to be CaCO3 finally.

Usage : Being used as food antiseptic as well as feed fungicide due to its extensive inhibition ability. Also being used as conservative in breads as well as cakes. While being used in feed, it will prevent feed from organic degrading and prolong feed’s shelf life. If being used with inorganic salts, the milk output of cows will be raised and animals will eat more feed.
Package : 25 kilos per bag.
Storage : Needs to be stored in one cold and dry place with good ventilating system. Should not be transported with other poisonous materials.
